The Cheltenham Township Police Department announced that a 33-year-old female driver was killed in a car accident in the area of Old York Road and Webb Road on Saturday, November 25 at approximately 6:00pm.

According to a preliminary investigation, a 37-year-old man was driving northbound on Old York Road when he collided with the vehicle, which was turning onto Old York Road from a driveway in the 7800 block.

The female driver was pronounced dead at the scene and the male driver was transported to a local trauma center with serious injuries.

Identities of the drivers have not been released.

The incident is under investigation by Cheltenham police, the Southeastern Montco CRASH team, the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, and the Montgomery County Coroner.
