Hank Albert, a resident of Elkins Park and former teacher at Abington School District, will make a guest appearance on Janice Tosto’s Grief Journeys show on G-Town Radio on Friday, September 29.
The show was featured in The Philadelphia Inquirer in March. An excerpt:
Tosto’s monthly “Grief Journeys” program, which marked its first anniversary in February, has featured those who’ve lost loved ones to gun violence, car accidents, cancer, and heart attacks. The show is about the everyday moments our loved ones remember when we’re gone.
From Albert’s Facebook post:
I will be discussing my personal experiences of grief, loss, and recovery after losing my identical twin. The title of the show is “Remembering Chuck.” I will be interviewed about the reasons why I wrote my memoir, Half But Whole, Reflections of a Twins Life. I will talk about how very close Chuck and I were, the trauma of losing him, and how our twin-ship energized my eventual recovery, culminating in the last 23 years living in Elkins Park.
Although the show will last one hour and begins at 7 a.m. on 92.9 FM, the zoom recording will be archived, and available on Mixcloud.com/Griefjourneyshost for listening at your convenience beginning the next day – Saturday September 30th. (It may be difficult to hear live outside of the northern Philadelphia area.)
This is an exciting opportunity for me to help others that have dealt with grief and loss. I hope you all can have the chance to listen in.
Thanks, Hank
