Update: Postponed | Glenside native’s film ‘The Journey Home’ to be screened twice on Saturday in Willow Grove

Update: We received word from Chilutti that this event will be postponed.

“The Journey Home,” a film co-created by Glenside native Gary Chilutti, owner of Films-4-Good, will be shown on Saturday, September 23 at 1:00pm and 4:30pm at the Willow Grove American Legion Post 308, 2305 Computer Road in Willow Grove.

The film is intended to save veteran and active duty lives from being lost to trauma-driven suicide and is being shown as part of the Music & Arts Festival for a Cause, which will run from 12:00pm to 8:00pm on Saturday on the Legion grounds.

All members of the community are welcome. A post-screening opportunity for discussion with the filmmaker, along with resource information, will be available after each showing.

About The Journey Home

The Journey Home is a feature-length documentary film which explores the challenges, trauma and healing process experienced by veterans and their families. It’s purpose is to save lives through examining how suffering service members can heal from trauma such as PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury, etc. It is estimated that 22+ vets and active duty service members take their lives daily.

The film was created by a collaboration between The Veterans Brotherhood and Chilutti. For a preview, you can watch the video below:

Chilutti’s company Films-4-Good is “a purpose-driven filmmaking and creative consulting firm whose purpose is ‘to inform, involve and inspire’.”
