Update courtesy of Abington police:
On August 2, 2023, at 2:50 PM, Abington Police Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 2400 block of Radcliffe Avenue in Roslyn. One of the involved persons was reportedly armed with a rifle, and that individual was initially non-compliant with the responding officers. A perimeter was established and several homes in the immediate area were evacuated. Officers were eventually able to make contact with the armed person, and the situation came to a peaceful resolution. No criminal charges were filed, and there is no danger to the community.
The Abington Township Police Department is urging the public to avoid the 2400 block of Radcliffe Road and its surrounding area.
Police have a large presence there, according to the department. The reason for the alert has not been disclosed at this time.

Attention Residents: There is currently a large police presence at the 2400 block of Radcliffe Avenue. Please avoid the area if possible. Thank you.
Facebook posts from area residents have alleged that a “suicidal man” has “barricaded themselves inside with rifles” and that the SWAT team has been engaged.
