Steven DelCarlino of Abington Township reached out to us today to report a series of catalytic converter thefts which took place in the Glenside train station parking lot on the evening of Wednesday, July 12.
“Last night, a bunch of cars were vandalized. My car was one of them,” Steven said. “There was someone who came through there in broad daylight and cut a bunch of catalytic converters right out of the cars.”
Steven filed a report with the Cheltenham Township Police Department around 11:00am Thursday morning.

“I wasn’t the first person in there reporting it,” Steven said. “Given the recent bust in Philly, I thought it might be worth for people to keep an eye out and bring awareness to the area to make sure it doesn’t happen again.”
“Vandals want the precious metals. Late-model Hondas and Toyotas are being targeted,” Steven, who owns a Honda CRV, said.
