Jenkintown native Lamar Stevens heats up in NBA Summer League

Jenkintown native Lamar Stevens scored a team high 21 points yesterday for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Summer League, including the dominating two-handed slam you can see below:

Stevens, a product of Roman Catholic High School, played four years at Penn State. He achieved B1G All-Freshman honors in 2017 as well as two first-team All-B1G selections in 2019 and 2020. He currently holds the distinction of being Penn State’s second all-time leading scorer, with 2,207 points.

Stevens signed a with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2020 as an undrafted free agent but has since signed a non-guaranteed multi-year deal with the club. His performance in the Summer League will help dictate his playing time during the regular NBA season.
