71 new cases of Coronavirus and three deaths

Montgomery County officials announced today that there are 71 new positive test results for Coronavirus. The new total thus far is 778. There is at least one positive result in 56 of 62 communities in the county.

There were also three additional deaths. An 87-year-old female from Upper Gwynedd, a 94-year-old female in Springfield Township, and a 73-year-old male Abington Township. All were hospitalized at the time of their death. The total number of deaths in the county is 15.

The latest numbers locally are:

  • Abington Township is at 58, which is six more than yesterday
  • Cheltenham Township is at 59, which is five more than yesterday
  • Jenkintown is at seven, which is one more than yesterday
