Thirty one year old, Ebony White, was found murdered in her Lynnwood Gardens apartment in Elkins Park, on February 19 at 3:20 a.m. The Cheltenham Police and the Montgomery County District Attorney announced today that they are forming a joint investigation.
Early on February 19, the Cheltenham Police responded to a call of a reported argument that was taking place at 2029 B on Mather Way. When the officers arrived to the scene, they found White’s body on the floor of the master bedroom with multiple stab wounds.
Also in the apartment when they arrived, were White’s’ children with no sign of physical harm. The children, ages twelve and seven were present at the time of the stabbing.
When the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office performed an autopsy on White’s body, they discovered that she was pregnant. It was determined by the coroner that the cause of death was multiple stab wounds and the manner of death was homicide.
