In addition to Ariella’s Kids Exchange, three other Hatboro shops have closed (or are going out of business) in 2026.
DeLoach Essentials Salon at 216 N York Road closed for good on January 6, according to their Facebook page.
Rina’s Rocks, a “new age crystal store” at 120 South York Road, announced in September that it will be shutting down. The shop is holding a 40% off sale until that time.
Cosmic Primate Tattoo at 136 South York Road announced in December their closure on February 28. However, borough manager Diane Hegele told Glenside Local that the shop’s owner is planning to reopen across the street in a smaller space.
In related news, Hegele said a boutique Starbucks may be part of the plan for 14 E. Moreland Avenue’s overhaul.
We previously reported that Gary Bulicki/JSC Rehabs LLC is proposing the conversion of the existing building into a mixed-use development containing a total of 21 apartments and one commercial storefront. The plans will be available shortly, Hegele said.
The space was once home to Santerian’s Department Store for over 50 years.
