The Abington Township Police Department will host the second annual Abington Sprint Triathlon on Saturday, May 30.
Race options include the Triathlon, Team Triathlon, and Aqua Bike and Duathlon. Each event begins at 7:00am.
The day will kick off with a 300-meter swim in Abington High School’s heated pool, followed by a 11.5-mile closed bike course through Abington, and finish with a 5K run across the Abington High School and Middle School Campuses.
Abington police said some streets along the race route will be partially closed between 6:45am and 11:00am. Volunteers will be stationed at key intersections to assist with traffic flow and ensure safe crossings.
