La Salle College High School in Wyndmoor shared that two alumni recently recorded major athletic accomplishments.

Mike McGettigan, Class of 1989 (pictured above and below), a four-year swimmer for the Explorers, won nine medals (five gold) at the Transplant Games in Birmingham, Alabama after undergoing a liver transplant in 2022.

The games were held from July 5 – 10.

Ed Lemanowicz, Class of 2019 (third from left below), was crowned Henley Champion with Oxford Brookes University V8A+ in the Temple Challenge Cup.

The Temple Challenge Cup is one of the eight races at Henley Royal Regatta on the River Thames in England.
