120 ‘energy saving’ trees available at Wall Park in Cheltenham next month, reservations open

Cheltenham Township announced that 120 “energy saving” trees are available for reservation and pickup at Wall Park on Arbor Day, April 26 between 9:00 – 11:00am.

The trees, which are free and limited to one per household, are offered through PECO and the Arbor Day Foundation.

Energy-Saving Trees is “a program designed to help customers understand where to plant trees on their property for maximum energy savings,” their website says. “By planting trees around your home, you can add to your property value, reduce your carbon footprint, improve air quality and more effectively catch storm water runoff.  When fully grown, these trees also can help reduce the amount of energy your home uses.”
