The intersection at Old York Road and West Avenue in Jenkintown may see significant changes in coming months.

Innovation & Exploration STEM Early Learning Center, a science-centric school for infants, toddlers, preschool and kindergarten-aged students, submitted an application to Jenkintown Borough to develop the former Wells Fargo Bank property at 400 York Road.

In related news, the former Oswald’s Pharmacy at 401 York Road in Jenkintown is scheduled for settlement on Friday, March 29.

“They’re going to put commercial on the first floor,” Borough manager George Locke said. “They’re going for some grant money and they’re supposedly going to fix it up real nice. It’ll be a nice addition to our business district.”
